“What I’m making is called DdukBokki. It’s a Korean meal- well, it can be a snack to, depending.” she explained. “It’s kind of spicy with a bit of sweet, which was why I asked what I did. It’s an easy-ish recipe- pretty hard to get it wrong, as long as you don’t let the rice cakes burn on the bottom of the pan.” she paused and thought about that for a moment, then wrinkled her nose. “Unless you add too much of the spicy red bean paste. That just gives you unfortunate results..”
Fin leaned against the counter and listened. It was nice to have Star with him, uh her again. She hoped she would be a man again soon. She watched Star move and prepare everything, even trying to help out once or twice with what needed to be done, but for the most part, she just listened, and smiled.
